INTRODUCTION
Apply Emotional Competence to Manage Self at the Workplace is a basic course on Emotional Intelligence (EQ). It is a generic work skills program designed to help learners apply self-awareness techniques to better manage self in a professional setting. This course aims to develop conscientiousness and a better understanding of emotional and social cues to promote a climate conducive for collaboration and growth in the workplace. These techniques also enable individuals to adapt to different situations and to bring personal and professional relationships to greater heights.
PROGAMME DURATION
16 hours – Assessment hours: 1.5, Training hours: 14.5
MODE OF DELIVERY
Face-to-Face: 14.5 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) consist of lectures, interactive activities and group discussions, either conducted in-house or on-site (Corporate Trainings)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
AWARD CRITERIA
Students must successfully pass all written assessments (WA, Case Study& Role Play) to achieve competency in the course. Learners who are certified competent will be given a Statement of Attainment (SoA) by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA).
